Spring is in the air and March is a fabulous time to stroll Parisian parks and enjoy the flowers starting to shoot up. There are some fantastic events this month in Paris, ranging from Bieber Fever (I know this because I have received a number of ticket requests), Taylor Swift at Le Zénith, the Paris half-marathon, as well as the return of Bruno Mantovani’s next work at the Bastille Opera.  J’adore Paris!! Opera, Ballet and Theatre Performance Palais Garnier Coppélia, Choreographer Patrice Bart, March 17th – 30th A ballet in two acts, this ballet has remained the repertoire of the Opéra Garnier since its introduction in 1870. Kátia Kabanová, Conductor Tomas Netopil, March 8th through April 5th Considered to be Jánecek’s masterpiece, this opera tells the story of a woman’s despair after deceiving her husband. Opéra Bastille Siegfried, Conductor  Philippe Jordan, March 1st – 30th The third of four operas comprising “The Ring of the Nibelung”, by Richard Wagner. Luisa Miller, Conductor Daniel Oren, March 7th through April 1st Krassimira Stoyanova makes her Paris Opéra debut in this Verdi classic opera in three acts. Akhmatova, Conductor Pascal Rophé,  March 28th through April 13th Considered to be one of the most brilliant composers of our time, 36-year-old Bruno Mantovani brings his next incredible work to the Paris stage after making his debut at the Paris Opéra in 2009. Le Nozze di Figaro – Conductor Philippe Jordan (A) and Dan Ettinger (B), through June 11th 2011 An opéra buffa in four acts, this is Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart at his best.
