Photo of the Week – November 11, 2013

This photo was taken by C. Chusseau-Flaviens soon after the armistice with Germany in 1918. The annual commemoration of the armistice which ended World War I takes place on the 11th day of November. Here we see the crowd waiting for the parade that marched down the Champs-Elysées in the afternoon of Sunday, November 17th.
