Photo of the Week – July 11, 2014

This week’s photo was taken a few years ago during the photography festival Les Rencontres d’Arles. This year’s edition, Parade, officially launched this week with over fifty exhibitions showing work by the likes of Vik Muniz, David Bailey, Mitch Epstein and many others. Over the course of the festival, photographers from all over come to Arles to exhibit and visit the exhibitions that pop up all over town. At night, events like the one pictured here take over le théâtre antique, where projections and talks with the artists are organized.
