Photo of the Week – July 5, 2013
396

This week’s photo comes from the top of the Arènes d’Arles, the Roman amphitheatre in the southern town of Arles. I’m in town this weekend for the annual photography festival. The amphitheater dates from 90 AD, and was built to entertain 20,000 spectators with chariot races and battles. Today’s crowds come to les Arènes for summer concerts and plays.
