Photo of the Week – July 21, 2013
298

Paris Plages (Paris Beaches) began yesterday, and runs from July 20th – August 18th. Each summer roadways along the Seine are closed and temporary beaches are created in their place, where many summer activities are made available to the public. This year’s beaches run along along the Seine at voie Georges Pompidou (between Pont des Arts and Pont de Sully) as well as at the Bassin de la Villette, on the Canal de l’Ourcq. Along with sunbathing and palm trees, as seen in this week’s photo, activities include petanque, ziplining, tai-chi, go-karts, boating and dancing. For more info, check out the Paris Plage website.
