The Bûche de Noël is a classic French dessert served at Christmas. Traditionally, the bûche consists of a thin sponge cake that is frosted, rolled, and frosted again. Decorations such as meringue mushrooms, berries and powdered sugar are added to create a wintery yule log ambiance. Variations include the ice cream version. For a Bûche de Noël recipe, see here.
