Photo of the Week – August 23, 2013

I’ve often passed by the cafe Le Progrès, which is situated between Place des Abbesses and the foot of the majestic basilique du Sacre Coeur. It always seems quite busy, its clientele a mix of tourists visiting Montmartre and local bobos stopping by for a drink. As this photo captures, there is a real sense of charm about the place – its hand painted facade and large windows reflecting the apartments across the rue des Trois Frères, all evoke Paris in another era.
