Photo of the Week – August 2, 2013
377

This week’s photo was taken at Chausey Sound, a grouping of small islands that lay off the coast of Normandy in the English Channel. The lines created by the vertical sections of sky, islands, water and greenery create a strong composition. The white boats add a visual pop amongst their blue and green surroundings. Grande Île is the largest island of the archipelago and the only one that has residents, with a population of 30 year-long residents. The island is just under a mile long and measures one third of a mile at its widest point.
