With a little delay, Kristin Frederick’s burger barge launches soon.
In a bold sea-faring move, Le Camion qui fume, the innovative and highly popular food truck(s), set up in the capital by Californian born chef Kristin Frederick, prepares to launch on the River Seine. Le Bateau qui fume will hoist the mainsale on a barge just as soon as the “technical problems have been solved.”
So, keep an eagle eye on the site for news of the seabound truck flying the blue/white/red flag of the brand. On board signature burgers, beer, wine and champagne.
In October, Kristin Frederick opens her first burger restaurant on dry land at rue du Faubourg Montmartre in the 2nd arrondissment, near the Stock Exchange. On the menu, dishes that have made the gourmet reputation of the truck, but also “a few surprises”, to eat in or take away.
And there’s also a second popcorn bar planned after Luc Besson’s EuropaCorp Cinema Aéroville, near Roissy, this one conveniently located at the MK2 Bibliothèque, 13th arrondissement.
My favorite’s the truffle flavor. Popcorn’s the new chips!
