Soulages, Another Light at Musée du Luxembourg

The late Pierre Soulages, described by then-President François Hollande in 2014 as “the world’s greatest living artist,” was known for his black canvases. This highly anticipated show at the Musée du Luxembourg is revealing another facet of his work: paintings on paper. The exhibit brings together a collection of works created between the 1940s and the early 2000s, including 25 previously unseen works.
