The legendary art collection of the wealthy Russian industrialist Sergei Shchukin has been reunited in Paris for a brief moment only. Featuring works from Picasso, Monet, and Gauguin, among others.

Shchukin was a highly intelligent collector, spotting artists well before critiques had caught on, and often making lasting friendships with them too. After the Russian Revolution, however, his collection was expropriated and divided between state museums.

Rarely do we get to see the reformation of a collection of works with such an interesting shared history.
