European Heritage Days (Les Journées du Patrimoine)

Event Description
One of our favorite fall events in France is the Journées Européens du Patrimoine, or European Heritage Days. Originally founded by Jack Lang, the former French Minister of Culture, European Heritage Days vision is to “raise the awareness of European citizens to the richness and cultural diversity of Europe”.
As well as free entry to top attractions such as Musée d’Orsay, Arc de Triomphe and Elysée Palace, the European Heritage Days are an opportunity to discover unusual historic monuments, some of which are not open to the public at any other time.
