Anne-Sophie Pic
Triple Michelin star chef Anne Sophie Pic— the only French woman chef to achieve this prestigious award since La Mère Eugénie Brazier in 1933– has always been intrigued by perfumes, scents and aromas. Hardly surprising, her childhood bedroom was above the kitchens of Maison Pic, the family restaurant in Valence, southeastern France, established in 1889 by Eugene and Sophic Pic. This is where the chef’s culinary career began, in and above the legendary inn located on the RN7 trunk road that leads to the South of France and Italy.
Initially deciding not to follow in the family footsteps, Anne-Sophie traveled overseas to train in management – studying and working in Japan and the USA – as an intern for various companies including Cartier and Möet & Chandon – but found herself drawn back to the Valence restaurant by her inherited culinary passion.

With her natural curiosity and love of travel, Anne-Sophie opened restaurants in Lausanne, Paris and London, winning awards and accolades along the way.
The key to Anne-Sophie’s success is her use of unusual ingredients and continual questioning of classic cooking methods going as far as to work with French perfume nose Philippe Bousseton. There’s always a hidden surprise, a touch of acidity, a spritz of color.

“At the heart of my creativity is the meeting with producers, products and influencers,” she says. “These meetings nourish my imagination and my knowledge.” So when Anne-Sophie met Sushi Shop CEO Grégory Marciano, a partnership was born. Both share the same culinary passion for perfection.
Founded in 1998 by Gregory Marciano and Hervé Louis, Sushi Shop is in constant quest for product creativity and innovation. Each year Marciano asks a celebrity chef to create and interpret a limited edition Sushi Shop Collection. Previous stars include: Cyril Lignac (2011), Jean-François Piège (2012), Thierry Marx (2013), Joel Robuchon (2014) and Kei Kobayashi (2017). And, at the same time, Sushi Shop has always been artistically creative through partnerships with famous artists such as KENZO, Lenny Kravitz, Kate Moss, Craig and Karl, Scott Campbell – and young designers or illustrators – Fernando Togni, Chris Labrooy, Tyrsa, PaperMint.

Today, the brand has 89 points of sale in France and in 12 countries (France, UK, Belgium, Luxembourg, Germany, Switzerland, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Netherlands, Saudi Arabia Arabia and United Arab Emirates).
Among Anne-Sophie’s fetish products are matcha, sake dregs, sobacha, and genmaicha. “I enjoyed translating my culinary identity through these pieces for Sushi Shop,” she says.
There are four mouthwatering creations to taste. Signature: Tuna, Apple, Dill, Sobacha €9.90 for six pieces); California: Goat’s cheese, Matcha green tea, bergamot, genmaicha (€5.90 for 6 pieces); Maki des Bois: champignons de Paris mushrooms, geranium rosat, yuzu and ginger (€5.90 for 6 pieces); Sushi: Daurade (sea bream) sage pesto, citronelle and melisse (€2.90 per piece) + sushi pesto at €2.90 per portion.
