Nüba A glorious spot along the quays, Nüba has some of the city’s best views over the Seine. Its DJ booth has a reputation for attracting some pretty well-known artists including Chet Faker, Moby and Hot Chip for amazing after-parties. Being one of the most spacious rooftop bars in the capital, there is ample room to take to the floor. When the sun goes down and you find yourself swaying to a chilled-out live set, gazing out over the moonlit river, it’s almost guaranteed that you will struggle to recall a better night. This open-air paradise has no entry fee, there’s a food truck if you get peckish and the drinks are surprisingly reasonable, so naturally it’s a popular hangout. We say to arrive early or expect to queue. On the up-side, the terrace stays open until 5am from Wednesday to Saturday so you can get down until the sun comes up – and we recommend you do just that. When you reach the address, enter through the unmarked door taking the lift to the penultimate floor of the building. There you will find a little oasis with beautiful views over Ménilmontant and beyond. Drinks are a little pricey but with couches, cushions, herbal plants, lanterns and laid-back vibes – this bar is an idyllic place to finish a sunny day. It’s so idyllic in fact that those in the know keep returning. Like with Nüba – if the sun is beaming – don’t delay! Location: 14 Rue Crespin du Gast, 75011. Métro: Ménilmontant Le Georges Located on the 6th floor of the Pompidou Centre, Le George is a very different style of    bar to Nüba and Le Perchoir. This soaring spot is the place to taste the high-life. Its ultra-modern interior and structured table and chair layout give it an elegant ambience, made for enjoying an intimate glass of wine. Although the drinks could be described as eye-wateringly expensive, the bar’s vantage point provides unparalleled panoramic views over the city. Location: Palais Beaubourg, Place Georges Pompidou, 75004. Métro: Rambuteau Le Terrass en Haut Quietly tucked away on the 7th floor of The Terrass’’ Hotel Montmartre you will find Le Terrass en Haut. This magical suntrap is a bar and restaurant combo with 360-degree views of the Paris skyline. If you fancy a drink, there are 15 signature cocktails on the menu made with a nice selection of world-spirits. During lunch and dinner service the tables on the terrace are reserved for the restaurant, so if you are just visiting for an apéro it is best to avoid these time-periods. Métro: Abbesses 43 Up on the Roof With heavenly views for miles over the city’s iconic shimmering chimney tops, 43 Up on the Roof is a left bank winner. Located on the 9th floor of the Holiday Inn Notre Dame, this bar is pleasantly populated but never too crowded owing to the fact that reservations are generally required. This rooftop bar’s relaxed atmosphere and sumptuous cocktails will leave you feeling like you’re on cloud nine. Location: 4 rue Danton, 75006. Métro: Saint-Michel
